Establishing Service

Service is established, in person, at the Customer Service Department. The Customer Service Department is open Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Residential

The District requires residential customers to furnish the following information when service is requested:

  • Your name
  • Address or service location
  • Service start date
  • Your home and work telephone numbers
  • Driver’s license
  • Social Security Number
  • Whether you own or are renting the service location
  • Owner Tenant Service Affidavit
  • Proof of ownership
Sole Ownership

The following information is required when establishing service for Sole Ownership businesses:

  • Address or service location
  • Service start date
  • Property ownership or leasing information
  • Proof of property ownership
  • Name of responsible party
  • Company name (DBA)
  • Business type
  • Mailing and general phone information
  • Contact person information
  • Person completing service application information
  • Responsible party's Social Security Number or Federal Tax ID number
  • Responsible party's home address information
Partnership

The following information is required when establishing service for Partnership businesses:

  • Address or service location
  • Service start date
  • Property ownership or leasing information
  • Proof of property ownership
  • Name of responsible party or company name (DBA)
  • Business type
  • Mailing and general phone information
  • Person completing service application information
  • Contact person information
  • General Partner's Social Security Number
  • Federal Tax ID Number
  • LLC or LP Number
  • Responsible party's home address information
Corporation

The following information is required when establishing service for Corporate businesses:

  • Address or service location
  • Service start date
  • Property ownership or leasing information
  • Proof of property ownership
  • Company name
  • Business type
  • Mailing and general phone information
  • Contact person information
  • Person completing service application information
  • State Corporate ID Number
  • Federal Tax ID Number

Generally, service activation can be scheduled for the following business day or a future business date as requested.

Applicants for service are required to pay a new customer application administrative charge for each account activated.

Upon determining the residential applicant’s creditworthiness, the District may require a security deposit from the residential applicant. All business applicants are required to place a security deposit. The deposit will be refunded at the termination of water service, provided all charges for water or other service provided by the District have been paid. No interest will be paid on deposits.

Stop Service

A customer must contact the Customer Service Department in person, by mail, or telephone to stop service. Generally service can be terminated by the following business day or a future business day if requested.

The customer must be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Account Number /Service Address
  • Customer Name
  • Driver’s License /Social Security Number
  • Forwarding Mailing Address
  • Contact Telephone Number(s)
